A home is more than a set of cabinets
You can fill a flat with beautiful cabinets and still find it awkward to live in. The door that hits the wardrobe. The dark corner. The storage that is in the wrong place.
An architect starts somewhere else: the whole flat. How you move through it, where the light falls, where things need to be stored, how big everything feels next to everything else. Get that right and the finishes have something good to sit on.
See it before it is made
One thing we are firm about. Every room is shown to you in 3D, and you sign the design sheet before anything goes into production. It is much cheaper to change your mind on a screen than on a finished wardrobe.
One team, start to finish
Design, factory, site work and handover are handled by one team, so you are not chasing three different people when something needs fixing. Materials are checked stage by stage as the work goes on.
A typical full home takes 45 to 60 working days after design sign-off. A kitchen or a single room is quicker.
Who is behind it
DesignGypsy is led by Reshma Agarwal, founder and principal designer, who has 14 years in architecture and interiors. Projects she has led have been featured in The Architect's Diary and Inside Outside. The studio is in Dhanori, Pune, and works on apartments across the city.
What we take on
Modular kitchens in straight, L, U or parallel layouts, with lofts and tall units. Wardrobes, hinged or sliding, in laminate, acrylic or reeded glass. Living rooms with TV units, feature panelling, pooja units, shoe storage and false ceilings. Bedrooms with storage beds, bed-back panels, dressers and study units. Or the full home: every room, plus ceiling, electrical and paint. A single kitchen or wardrobe is welcome too.
